Liz I'm an advanced practitioner of CranioSacral Therapy (CST), a gentle manual therapy which encourages health in the central nervous system, as developed and taught by the Upledger Institute. I am a certified instructor at the Upledger Institute, teaching CranioSacral Therapy 1, our first level core class, and Craniosacral Touching the Brain 1, a class about working with the cells and processes of the brain and spinal cord.

I am committed to facilitating my clients' ever-deepening understanding of their bodies, their lives, and the relationships therein.

I hope you'll find that I offer a practical, comfortable approach, some humor and a good dose of compassion in my work.

On Movement and Stillness

The following two experiences have given me appreciation for a healthy balance between movement and stillness.

I first learned social dance as an adolescent living in Europe. A great social dance is like a conversation. We non-verbally converse - and sometimes joke - about the music.

Like a great CST practitioner, a really great follow doesn't need to know where the dance is going. She is sensitive to the lead, listening to the music, and can add to the dance in the moment.

One fine fall in the mid-90s, a friend invited me to join him on a 7-day silent retreat. It sounded like a terrific adventure to me. I had never meditated. It was quite an experience, to be sure!

This was the first opportunity I had to listen deeply. To sit still, to be inwardly silent was a new and profound experience, one that prepared me well for the deep listening of craniosacral therapy.
