Neurological Disorders & Symptoms
The CranioSacral system is comprised of tissues that nourish and support — and potentially restrict — the brain, cranial nerves, and spinal nerves.
Tension in the cranial membranes can cause abnormal behavior patterns or difficulty with sensory processing, and restricted cranial nerves can show up in all sorts of symptoms. CranioSacral Therapy uses the bones of the cranium as handles on the soft tissue to assess and release restrictions in the cranial membrane system and dura mater.
And, if the primary lesion is outside the cranium, CST provides a way to assess and release restrictions across the fascial web, positively affecting the CranioSacral System.
